Applications are invited for the post of Project Mechanic. The Post is temporary and on contractual basis for a period of one year. The period may be extended based on performance and requirement.

Salary range: Salary: INR 10000-900-26200 per month (consolidated)

Minimum Qualification: High School + ITI (Fitter) or High School +5 years of relevant experience, in a Govt. organization or an educational Institute + experience in preparation of experimental setup for wind tunnel testing and calibration for wind tunnel applications.

Desirable Qualification:-

• The candidate should have good knowledge of wind tunnel model preparation, fabrication of FRP model, fitting & assembly of wind tunnel models.
• Familiar with basic experimental techniques for wind tunnel testing.
• Handle various equipment for wind tunnel including DSLR cameras, CCD & CMOS sensor based Cameras, PIV lasers & Solid state lasers, string type force balances, load cells, Electronic pressure sensors etc.

Department of Aerospace Engineering reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short-listing the eligible candidates who satisfy the qualifications and experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
