Applications are invited for the temporary post of a Project Post doctoral Fellow in an SERB sponsored project entitled "JC Bose Fellowship" at Department of Chemistry, IIT Kanpur, under the supervision of Dr. Amalendu Chandra.

Qualifications: Ph.D: in Chemistry. The candidate should have done PhD in the area of theoretical/computational chemistry and should have at least 5 research publications record in recognized physical chemistry journals. Candidates having experience on molecular dynamics simulations and nonlinear vibrational spectroscopic calculations will be preferred. Also, the candidate should have good knowledge of computer programming in Fortran.

Candidates not having done PhD in the area of theoretical/computational chemistry or not having experience of working in the area of molecular dynamics simulation s and nonlinear vibrational spectroscopic calculations need not apply.

Age limit: 35 years as on January 25, 2025.

Salary: Rs. 60,000 per month or as recommended by the Selection Committee in the salary range of Rs. 60,000-5000-85000

The appointment will be initially for one year but can be renewed for one more year at the end of the first year subject to satisfactory performance by the candidate.
