On 14th January 2025, Dr. Manish Mehrotra visited IIT Kanpur and held an insightful meeting with the Director, Prof. Manindra Agrawal, and the Dean of International Relations, Prof. Bushra Ateeq. Dr. Mehrotra, representing a leading education ecosystem in the UAE, presented a visionary proposal to establish an offshore campus of IIT Kanpur in the United Arab Emirates. He highlighted the global reputation of IIT Kanpur for academic and research excellence and emphasized how this initiative aligns with the UAE’s strategic vision to become a global hub for knowledge, innovation, and technology.

Dr. Mehrotra highlighted the Emirate's strong interest in funding opportunities and its commitment to attract global talent.
