About Lab

Physics workshop is a crucial facility of physics department, which provides its facilities to physics department as well as other departments. The workshop creates new ideas, designs and fabricates them as per the requirement of different labs and departments. The workshop is typically equipped with various machine equipments such as 5 axis CNC milling, Lathe, milling, drilling, saw cutting, sheet molding, grinding, and welding with expert manpower.

Vision of Workshop

• To continue to work closely with the faculty members to help develop and fabricate new, complex and innovative designs/components/apparatuses which are necessary for the challenging and innovative experiments being devised in the labs of various faculty members in the department and in the Institute.
• To help students in their regular workshop related matters.
• To help aid teaching labs and also develop demonstrations as aids to effective teaching.
• To add new infrastructure to the Physics workshop and also upgrade the existing infrastructure to meet current and future needs of the department and the Institute.
