Applications are invited for the position of Project Engineer under the project entitled “Establishment of an Aircraft Simulation Facility “in Department of Aerospace Engineering at IIT Kanpur. This is a temporary and contractual position.
Essential Qualification & Experience:
- B.E./B.Tech in Aeronautics/Aerospace Engineering.
Desirable Experience:
- Strong understanding of flight mechanics and flight dynamics.
- Knowledge of flight simulation software and hardware, including cockpit controls, displays, and peripherals.
- Proficiency with MATLAB.
- Experience with flight simulation software such as X-Plane, Prepar3D, or Microsoft Flight Simulator is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Monthly Salary:
- Rs. 30800/- plus HRA as per institute norms.
Term of Appointment:
- Initially for a period of 1 year or end of the project, whichever is earlier.
