Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (one) in a sponsored Project entitled “Determining the primary magma composition of Rajmahal-Sylhet Traps mafic rocks: Inferences on the dynamics of large-scale mantle melting and formation of continental Large Igneous Provinces”.
Position:
- Junior Research Fellow (ONE)
Essential Qualification:
- B.Tech, Or Post graduate, Or Graduate + 3 years relevant experience in Earth Science/Geology with CSIR-UGC-NET or GATE
Desirable:
- Degree in Earth Sciences/Geology from a reputed university/institute with an excellent academic record will be preferred
- Research experience in Petrology/Geochemistry will be preferred
- Experience/expertise in wet chemistry and XRF/ICP-MS analysis
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, good communication skills
Duration of appointment:
- The appointment for the above post will be initially for a period of one year, which might be extended up to another two years or until the end of the project, if performance of the candidate is found satisfactory.
- The post is purely temporary and on a contractual basis

Note:

- No TA will be provided to candidates called for interview.
- Suitable candidates without NET/GATE might be selected at INR 28,000 + HRA, as per rule.
