This is one of the research roles at the Just Transition Research Centre, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Kanpur. The role involves writing research proposals, securing research grants, guiding team members in conducting high-quality research, producing top-tier reports, and managing a team of researchers. The role also requires collaboration with other verticals to advance the goals of the Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and execution of projects, fieldwork, travel to field sites, and interacting with stakeholders.
Writing project reports, proposals, and academic publications.
Handling quantitative/qualitative data.
Organizing workshops with stakeholders.
Other tasks assigned by the reporting authority.

Selection Criteria
Education	Ph.D. in environmental/energy economics, climate studies, geography water resource engineering/economics, energy policy, environmental studies, or allied subjects. Two Scopus indexed publications.
Experience	5+ years’ research experience including PhD.
Skills and Competencies	Expertise in primary and secondary data collection and analysis. Excellent academic and proposal writing skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders. Proficiency in using technology and data analytics tools in research – i.e., statistical analysis with SPSS / R / STRATA; qualitative analysis using ATLAS.ti / NVivo; geospatial analytical tools like ArcGIS/QGIS
