Applications are invited for temporary or contractual post of ‘Project Scientist/ Project Engineer’ under the project entitled “Printed Flexible OLED Labels for Displays in the Packaging Industry” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification:

For Project Engineer: M.Tech Or B.Tech + 3 years relevant experience

For Project Scientist: PhD Or Postgraduate + 3 Yrs of Exp.

Desirable Qualification & Experience:

  • PhD or MSc in Chemistry/Material Science or M-Tech in Industrial Chemistry/Chemical Engg./ Material Science/ Mechanical Engineering.
  • Working experience in inks and/or paste formulation
  • Good knowledge of ink and paste additives
  • Familiar with Ink characterization techniques like rheology, surface tension and viscosity
  • Familiar with annealing and sintering process of thin films
  • Handling and processing of flexible substrates for electronics applications.
  • Candidates with relevant industry experience would be preferred.

Nature of work:

  • Formulation of ink or paste and test printability for OLED fabrication
  • Electrical and optical characterization of thin films
  • Prepare presentations and reports.
  • Development of process SOPs.
  • Extensive documentation and reporting of developed processes.
  • Guide and train junior employees.

Salary: Rs. 31600-2600-78400/- per month based on qualification.

Duration of appointment: The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of one year or end of the project, whichever is earlier.
