Confocal Microscope Model: LEICA STELLARIS 5

This facility was established with the help of DST FIST 2021 funding.
STELLARIS 5 is a confocal point scanning inverted microscope. The maximum scanning area using a 10x objective (HC PL FLUOTAR 10x/0.30 DRY) is 1550 microns x 1550 microns with a minimum pixel size of 0.757 microns. Additional objective options include Obj. HCX PL FL L 20x/0.40, Obj. HC PL FLUOTAR 40x/0.80, and Obj. HC PL APO 63x/1.40 oil. The microscope can be operated in either fluorescence mode or reflection mode. It incorporates three lasers emitting at 488nm (Blue), 561nm (Green), and 638nm (Red), accompanied by two HyD detectors. See the website below for detailed specifications:

Rheometer Model: MCR 702e Space MultiDrive

This facility was established with the help of DST FIST 2021 funding.
MCR 702e Space Multidrive rheometer is a high end model of the new MCR Evolution series and is the most versatile rheometers available. Alongside all standard rheological test modes, this can also be equipped with an additional lower drive unit or an optical/confocal microscope. The combination of two air bearing supported rotational drive units enables you to perform rheological measurements in Combined Motor Transducer (CMT) mode and in Separate Motor Transducer (SMT) mode. The machine is also equipped with a heating stage suitable for plate & cones with temperature range from room temperature to 300°C. See the website below for detailed specifications:
